La Prairie offers Quality Gites  (self-catering cottages) and Bed and Breakfast (B&B)  accommodation within easy driving distance of the Chateaux and Vineyards of the Loire Valley.  Amboise,  Saumur, Tours, Chinon etc... are all easily accessible!.    Ride our horses,  fish in two lakes, swim in the swimming pool  or just laze in the gardens!!

We offer exceptional Bed and Breakfast Hotel / Gites accommodations in the Loire Valley.   La Prairie is in a lovely quiet spot, yet ideally located for visiting all the Chateaux and Vineyards of the Loire Valley.....Amboise,  Chenonceau, Tours, Chambord, Villandry, Chinon and Azay Le Rideau are all an easy drive or slightly energetic cycle ride away!   The farm dates from 1680 and is built in the local, creamy white Tuffeau stone. Choose from one of our 3 Gites here at La Prairie or from a collection of individual Gites ...a short drive away - some with their own private pools .....hover over the 'Gites Lavande/Glycine'  button to the left and you will find another page 'Gites near La Prairie'   Nous vous offrons des Chambres D'Hotes / Gites dans une trés belle proprieté avec piscine chauffer.      La Prairie est implanté sur 8 hectares avec ses chevaux, de beau jardins, deux etang et tranquilité absolue.      Nous sommes trés bien placé pour  visiter les Chateau de la Loire ainsi que ses vignobles.

The property is surrrounded by 20 acres of grassland (for our horses, which are available for specialist riding holidays or hourly rides in our outdoor sand school), pretty gardens, several patios,  a heated outdoor swimming pool,  and two lovely lakes.     All the rooms are of a very high quality, furnished with Antiques from around France many with old oak beams and Tuffeau stone walls.    Each is named after flowers growing in the gardens and grounds.     The bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms, which are specially designed and equipped for your comfort.

Toutes nos chambres sont de trés bonne qualité,  comfortable et spacieuse.    Chacune avec salle de bains independante.   

We will be pleased to welcome you at La Prairie and are more than happy to help you with travel arrangements and directions around the area.   We can point you towards the 'off the beaten path' special sights where tourists do not venture.    It will also be our pleasure to recommend the best restaurants,  the best vineyards - but not necessarily the most expensive!       We chose to buy La Prairie because of it's quiet situation away from the hustle and bustle of the ultra 'touristy' areas -  we are close to a small, typically French town which holds many fetes and festivals throughout the year.    Vernantes has all the necessary supermarket, restaurants etc..and Saumur is just 10 mins drive away.     We hope to welcome you to this lovely area of France where Wines, Chateaux, Food and 'Bonheur' reign supreme!!
